No bail for Mehul choksi man behind PNB 13,500 crore scam india arrested in Dominica

Dominica govt says that mehul choksi will not get bail as there is a chance of escape from the country when bail was given and government also said that he will not be harmed during the time being in Dominica. 

Mehul choksi is the man who is wanted in india for PNB (punjab national bank)scam in 2018 for looting about 13500 crore using letter of undertaking(Loc).He was captured in Dominica after he been missing from Caribbean nation of Antigua. 

The photo of Choksi in jail is circulating around and gone viral. In that picture he got several injuries on his head ,hand and left eye .



The PNB scam was carried out by choksi and Nirav modi who is his nephew. They left india before the scam come into public ,and later in 2019 Nirav modi was arrested from London. 

He was arrested from Dominica , Caribbean island on 25 may. Choksi said that he was kidnapped from jolly harbour in Antigua by some man and beaten and forcibly taken to Dominica.
After the arrest in Dominica,choski filed a habeas corpus petition in Dominica with the help of his lawyer and highlighted the lack of legal assistant access there and his medical condition stated that he was heated and forcibly taken to Dominica

Later on Sunday Gaston the prime minister of Antigus and Barbuda said that india government sent mehul choksi documents related to deportation to india but there is no official confirmation from indian authority about this news.

We can hope that india government will deport this fugitive from Dominica to india as soon as possible and give them a proper punishment.
